1997

Shanghai Zhizheng Enterprise Development Co., Ltd. was officially founded, with R&D, technology transfer and contract processing as its core business model. The company began its exploration of polymer materials, becoming a private high-tech enterprise specializing in the R&D and application of new polymer materials.

2002

Expanding strategically into manufacturing, the company built its Yuanjiang Road production base of about 7,000 m², together with an R&D center and standardized workshops that were put into use in March 2001. This completed the transition from R&D consulting to in-house production and direct sales, providing a solid hardware foundation for scaled growth.

2005

Opening a new chapter in international cooperation, the company formed a joint venture with Padanaplast (Solvay Group, Italy), introducing advanced international processes and management concepts. It simultaneously built a rigorous quality-management system, product-development system and modern enterprise-management system, standardizing and refining operations and lifting product quality and core competitiveness in tandem, laying a firm institutional and technical foundation for the long term.

2007

Keeping pace with national strategy and riding the momentum of the Broadband China initiative, the company seized the opportunities of the 4G communications industry and expanded into the communication-cable and optical-cable markets, an important broadening of its business.

2015

Strategic transformation advanced alongside standardized development. The company completed its joint-stock restructuring, further optimized its governance structure and made a major strategic shift, formally entering the electrical-equipment and power-cable fields to broaden its business. That same year it was named a Shanghai Patent Pilot Enterprise, continuing to strengthen IP management and technological innovation to power high-quality growth.

2016

Both brand and operations advanced. An automated warehousing system enabled intelligent, efficient warehouse and logistics management, optimized the supply chain, reduced operating costs and improved turnover, driving a modern and intelligent transformation of production and operations. That year, Zhizheng products were named a Shanghai Famous Brand, and the Zhizheng and Original trademarks were recognized as Shanghai Well-Known Trademarks, greatly enhancing brand influence and market recognition.

2017

The company was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange A-share market (stock code 603991, Zhizheng Co., Ltd.), with an IPO of 18.7 million shares raising a total of RMB 198 million to fund R&D and capacity expansion. That year its BUSS production line was commissioned, further improving efficiency, precision and quality stability. It was also recognized as a Shanghai Municipal Enterprise Technology Center and received an Excellence in Quality Control Award, underscoring its industry-leading R&D and quality management.

2018

A fresh start with an upgraded Original Advanced Materials logo. Green represents technology, reliability and sustainability, while red symbolizes passion, breakthrough and an enterprising spirit, conveying the company’s deep expertise and innovative resolve in new materials. The simplified, borderless triangle is more dynamic and expressive, reflecting a philosophy of breaking boundaries and open, win-win development; a more modern sans-serif typeface balances an international outlook with local brand roots and suits digital communication.

2020

Expanding into new materials, the company established its Original Advanced Materials subsidiary, further refining its polymer-materials industry layout and opening new room for growth. That year it received the accreditation decision and laboratory accreditation certificate from CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment), confirming that the laboratory’s testing capability and management met national accreditation standards and providing stronger technical support for product development and quality control.

2025

Strategic focus, empowered by innovation. The Original Advanced Materials business was spun off from the listed company. At the same time, the company partnered with the Yangtze River Delta National Innovation Center (NICE) to build the NICE-Original Joint Innovation Center, leveraging the platform’s resources to strengthen R&D and innovation, drive breakthroughs in new materials and semiconductors, and begin a new journey of high-quality development. It also joined the Guohe One industrial-chain alliance, supporting the domestic and self-reliant development of key nuclear-power materials and equipment.
